Christmas Madness 2009

Well Christmas was chaotic and FUN! Kai was SO INTO EVERY LITTLE DETAIL this year...we looked at alot of Christmas light, talked about the Christmas tree almost hourly, discussed Santa and Jesus on a daily basis, and listened to tons of Christmas music!! Tam and I def took advantage of the old "Santa's watching Kai, better behave" trick. Wouldn't say it was too effective this year though. Jaymes was into the wrapping paper and boxes, as all kids her age are I guess.

Christmas Eve brought SNOW this year, which we all know, is very rare. Kai was totally into the snow, I would say as much as he was Christmas Eve in general. We made a rather scary looking snow man on Christmas Day, Kai really loved that..it was a little bit cold for Jaymes, I hated to not let her outside that day but it was brutal cold! Uncle Chase was out of control with the snow balls to the face that day, we all got nailed in the face. The first pic of Kai was after Chase hit him square in the eyes. Lets just say after that, we went inside for a while.

The week after Christmas Kai and I flew to Port Aransas for the day to see my grandparents. It was Kai's first trip on a plane, he loved every bit of it. There were def some times when I could tell he was a little scared, but over all he did well. He was very interested in all the flight attendants names and also the people who sat around us on the plane. We sat by the engines, and several times I had to tell him not to talk so loud, he was yelling the whole time In true Kai fashion, he was also very excited about the Sprite and orange juice he got to drink both ways.

New Years Eve we went to Uncle Tye and Aunt Krissy's house for some early fireworks. We learned that night that Kai still more or less feels the same way he did in July about Fireworks..not really a big fan.

It was a great year, we have much to be thankful for...hoping 2010 brings much the same!
