kai's mom and dad

I just realized that there may be people who read this blog and have no idea who Tam and I are, and what we look like. I am in very few of the pictures of Kai, because it seems I am always taking them!! I am attaching a pic of Tam and I at our wedding in Mexico in Oct 2004. We are about to celebrate our 2nd anniversary in a couple of weeks! Seems like just yesterday.....marrying tam was the best decision i ever made!

Bosom Buddies

Kai got meet his new buddy Zane Friday night! Zane is only 1 week old, and look how tiny he looks next to Kai...it's amazing how much they grow in 3 months! Amber and I were pregnant together this summer so it was fun to see their new baby and how they are adjusting to parenthood. They are doing great and are such good parents. We know Kai and Zane will be good buddies growing up and maybe even teammates (or opponents?) for football? This 1st picture cracks me up because Kai was falling forward and when he did Zane stared to fall over too.

Thursday Night Lights

Well Kai went to his 1st football game last night. Aunt KeKe (Kendall) cheers for the HS freshman so we went to see her cheer for their 2nd game at home. It was perfect football weather and Kai had a great time. Kai took some pictures with the cheerleading squad (he's a major flirt) and got to see his grandpa and Honey and his unlce Chase too. I took Kai down close to the sideline to watch the cheerleaders and he seemed to be entranced by all the noise and movement they made...he did cry for a while when the crowd was yelling for the football team, I think it scared him. After the game we all went and had Mexican food, Kai was so sleepy by that point, he had been overstimulated I think. We had a great time and we're proud of you aunt KeKe!!!~!

Who's yo Daddy

I figured it was my turn to get in on this Blog action. I'm sure Christy will have all sorts of mean things to say about me since my first post includes myself in the pic (what can I say, "I love me some me"). However, there is a method behind my madness. Just a few weeks ago there was no mistaking that Kai was a carbon copy of his daddy(not a bad gig), now he's already grown in to be such a wonderful mix of both of us(refer to figure 1). I might be bias but I think he is the best looking baby I've ever seen and he is so helpful, this morning when I woke up Kai was in the kitchen making eggs benedict. Christy and I are having such a great time being his parents and even though he doesn't care much for anything that doesn't involve mom or dad holding him he is such a blessing in our lives. We love our boy, even if he does has read hair j/k.

let them eat cake

those that know me well, know that I have a wicked sweet tooth...and of all the desserts in the world, cake is prob my fave...especially WEDDING CAKE! Knowing this, aunt Taya and aunt Shellie (the N group) invited Kai and I to a cake tasting for our friend Natalie's wedding. Seems as if Kai was more interested in his cat nap than the cake...I tried to wake him and let him sample some buttercream icing, but it was obvious that he was not into it. Some day he will no doubt share his mama's affection for all things sweet...on the upside, more cake for me!

2 months old

Kai
I realize that I am a little behind on blogging about your 2 month birthday, it was 2 days ago.sorry.

At 2 months you are starting to be so much fun~you smile and talk more and your dad and I spend half the day trying to get you to laugh or smile. You sleep pretty well at night, most times from about 9:30 to 3 or 4 AM, which I think is good? Now that I am used to being a little sleep deprived, I can def live with those hours. I don't think it will be long until you sleep until 6 or 7 AM...which is through the night as far as I am concerned...

At 2 months, I think you are starting to look a lot different. More and more people are starting to say you look like mom (I think it's the eyes), which makes me happy because up until recently most people said you were a carbon copy of your dad ..which is a good thing, I just want to see some of me in you.

I have noticed that your dad and I have been rushing your development a little, ha ha..we have put you in the high chair and excersauser and you are still a little young for both...we just think it's funny to see you bounce around in both with your head bobbing all over the place...Basically you doing anything is funny to me....the bath, the car seat, the pool..i am always laughing at you.

Kai you are such a sweet baby and a joy in our lives....we thank God for you every day...you are loved little boy.

everybody's doing it....

well it seems the best way to upate family and friends of the goings on in our lives, is through a blog...so here we go. Seeing as how Tam and I just had baby #1 in July, this blog will more than likely be saturated with baby pics and baby stories...i guess that's to be expected. I will start the blog off with my fave current pic of our baby boy Kai. His eyes just look so big and he looks so sweet!
