three musketeers

here's a pic of kai with his 2 best buds....cousins jude and joss. this pic was taken last sunday we went to taya and andy's house to play outside and eat dinner for Pop's bday! I think we have lots of crazy and rowdy years ahead with jude and joss..these boys are gonna play rough and tough, i have a feeling. Their cousin Kenrie (not born yet), being a girl, may have to toughen up once she gets here!

he loves a good remote

i know i talk about kai's tendency to search out "forbidden" item in the house all the time.. I wanted to show you what i meant....this AM, kai was eager to play with his basketball (balls are some of the only toys he still has interest in) so he held it in one hand while trying to reach the remote with the other hand!!

disregard the huge amount of drool in this pic...kai has 3 top teeth coming in as we speak...he has been drooling like crazy this week, and biting anything he can get his hands on!

he plays hard!

Over the last few days, kai has been playing his little butt off!! he crawls around the house in such a furry, his poor little knees are just as red as they can be.

I also noticed yesterday he was actually out of breath, it is pretty hilarious! He knows where he wants to go, and he wastes no time in getting there. He really could care less about most of his toys, he'll play with his various balls, but he mostly likes things around the house....the broom, remote controls, cords, the camera, cell phones, even the little plastic lids to his baby food containers! good grief we could have saved some cash had we known we could entertain him with all this junk!

8 months old!

well we are back in business!! my dad was gracious enough to get us a new camera so we are back to posting pictures, thanks Dad!!

Kai turned 8 months on tuesday and boy the last month has brought some changes! kai is fully mobile and into EVERYTHING!! we cant leave the room for too long because he will find the most dangerous item around and put it into his mouth....we have baby-proofed the house to an extent, but we have some work to do still.

after lots of practice with his abby, kai has also learned to clap his hands...he loves Pat a Cake! it's so so so cute! I have noticed that kai is, how should I say this, VERY AGGRESSIVE! the other kids in daycare seem to be very docile and peaceful, delicate? Well not Mr Kai...every time I go to pick him up from daycare I find him, yelling, pulling on things, yanking on hair!! he's a very ACTIVE, energetic kid..not a bad thing, just makes me laugh..I don't think he will grow up to be shy....maybe he's just a typical rough little boy?

last night we went to see aunt KiKi after her cheerleading tryouts. kai took her some flowers and took her mind off all the stress...we're sure you did great aunt KiKi! If you make it, you know we'll be at the games next Fall....speaking of cheerleaders, I think Kai has more pics with cheerleaders than any other 8 month old in the world!!!
