blondie

i am posting this for no other reason than to have a document of how blonde this kid really is! i am still in disbelief of how white this dude's hair is! i was blonde at a young age, as was tam, but not to this extent. i love kai's fluffy clear hair, but i do fear it will not be this way forever. same with his baby blue eyes, i hope they're permanent?

and no, we don't let him play with electrical equipment, he has issues with the charger to the computer...he has to pick it up every day.

public humilation

so on Sat we took kai to Bedford "Splash".....it is a very small version of Hurricane Harbor or NRH20. Anyway, so it's no secret kai is about the fairest skinned kid EVER. His hair is practically clear and his scalp is white as can be. It is always difficult to get sunscreen on his head, and when we do, it takes a few days to completely come out of his hair. well, problem solved! tam found a swim cap at the dollar store! now, i will say this swim cap was equally as great to tam and I because we found it so funny, but it did keep us from having to mess with sunscreen in kai's hair. and laugh at kai, oh boy did we! we joked that he was embarrassed all day at the swim park, because his parents made him wear this stupid hat! I don't know I think it's pretty cute though?

daddy's boy

After taking alot of heat for my lack of involvement with blogger.com, I decided to shake the label of "deadbeat dad" and pimp my pen. Kai had a big weekend at Possum Kingdom lake with his Aunts and Uncles and Tim and Shelli Herlevic. Kai loved the boat and just stared in disbelief the whole time we were on the water. It was a little more challenging for mom and dad since we did not have much time to relax with all of the potential hazards around. It is so much fun to come home and play with Kai now that he is a little older and loves to wrestle and laugh. Everyday when I get home and lay on the floor Kai will run and tackle me over and over,it is a game that never gets old to him. It is amazing how big he has gotten in a year and it makes you realize how fast they grow.

this and that

I figured this would be a good title for this post, since it's about nothing in particular. I have not been the best about posting lately, I find it hard to find time! And I really have no help from tam, he's not a regular poster on here!

kai is obsessed with cell phones and is always grabbing our phones and running off with them. tam decided it was time for kai to have his own cell phone (after all he deserves it right?) obviously, that's a joke, but we have an old cell phone that we gave kai, and oh does he treasure it! he carries it around and holds it up to his ears like he's listening to someone. we make sure and pack it in his diaper bag when we go out, so he does not feel left out, should tam or I talk on our phone. really tam and i like to mostly make fun of it and laugh about it, but kai will never know, he just thinks he has a cool phone. he has thrown it on the ground so hard already that 2 numbers have fallen out, but he cant count, so it's cool!

kai has been saying a lot more words lately...mostly out of context and often repeated for no reason, but we still find him a genius! he can say ma ma, da da, ki ki (well sorta), ball, duck, pool, dog, one, uh-oh, ......he also likes to point to things and say "dat" over and over and over....what he wants is for us to say what things are.....pretty cool, huh!
