The Bassmaster

Although Kai did not go fishing with his dad on Sat, he was pretty interested in what the boys brought home.....Tam, Jay and Terry caught 47 Bass on lake Ray Hubbard! When they returned home, Kai was in awe of all the fish flopping around...he sat and watched them count them and lay them out......

note: this is when kai's eyes were so jacked up from his sinus infection. poor little guy :(

another bout of ear infections

over the weekend, kai was having some serious issues with his eyes....i will spare you the details but it's pretty yuck, but suffice it to say, it was very hard to look at...every time i looked at Kai I felt like he was hurting and I felt so bad for him...he never rubbed or scratched his eyes, like they were bothering him..they just looked horrible.....i took him to the Dr on Monday, thinking he had some sort of eye infection. As soon as Dr Senevey walked in he said "well, I bet ya his eyes are the least of his problems"......I was dreading what he would find....turns out Kai had double ear infection and a sinus infection.....this is his FOURTH ear infection, but this one was alot different from the other ones, no fever, no fussiness. I would have never known Kai was sick if it had not been for he eyes

so another round of antibiotics for the little guy

he seems better today, acting like he feels good and his eyes look MUCH better.

cold easter sunday

Kai's first Easter was a blistery cold Sunday, especially for Texas. I think the high temp was somewhere in the 40s. Therefore, there's not many pics of Kai outside hunting Easter eggs. Most of the days was spent inside, while mom and dad ate all day! Kai did have on his Easter outfit (or Easter Dress as tam calls it) on all day. We managed to take some pics of him in it.

Also, here's a pic of cousins Jude and Joss clowning around with baby kai.....kai was giving tons of kisses and all was fine, until Kai bit cousin Jude.

9 months old

Kai turned 9 months old on Friday. The last month or so has brought a lot of changes in Kai..he's so much more fun lately (this could be from all his colds clearing up?) and a happy boy all around. Kai knows what he wants when he wants it, and he'll let ya know! when he's eating, if you take something out of his sight, or don't feed him fast enough, he protest like crazy! It's pretty comical. He also is very fond of the game, "throw my toy on the ground, and you pick it up"....OVER AND OVER AND OVER. This one's a lot of fun for mom and dad! kai has a good bud at daycare, Caleb. When I pick him up everyday, his teachers always comment oh how he and Caleb play so well together! Caleb was born just 2 days after Kai, I guess one day we'll tell Kai that Caleb was his first friend!

Kai had his 9 month checkup on Friday on he was 80% for height (29.5 inches) and 50% for weight (20 lbs 7 ozs). Doctor Senevey said all was well with Kai and that he looked just perfect. I had been wondering about his ears but they were clear.

food-chicken nuggets, graham cracker, yo-baby yogurt

toys-the plastic hook from his fishing pole, his light up frogs and his balls (mini basketball, football and soccer ball), plastic lids form the Gerber baby foods.

This is one of my favorite pictures of kai recently. he has been a pretty happy baby lately...beteween sickness and teeth, we have had a couple good happy days here and there! He waived "by by" yesterday for the first time. Cant quite say it yet, but soon i think.
