day at the Dallas Zoo

I guess i should say "morning" at the Zoo. We normally go the the Fort Worth Zoo, but Dallas Zoo is pretty close to us now as well so we figured we'd try it out. We got there right when it opened (9 AM) and there was NOBODY there. The Dallas Zoo is bigger than Fort Worth and there seems to be more to do and more exhibits, but honestly we felt like there we no animals. There was only 1 elephant and Kai was most excited to see those, see we were disappointed. We walked from there over to the tiger exhibit, no tigers?! We went from there to see the Kangaroos, at the Fort Worth Zoo there are always a ton, running around like crazy....at the Dallas Zoo, there was one, and he was sleeping on the ground. Hoped to see a big roaring lion, no lions...but we did see enough I suppose to make the trip worth it. From now on, think we'll stick to the FW Zoo.

kai's first concert

well, the much anticipated "Wiggles Live" show was last Saturday. We could think of no other way to explain to Kai that we were going to see the Wiggles so we told him we were going to the "wiggles house". he seemed to understand and when we got there, was pretty enthralled by the lights and music and all the other kids bouncing around in their seats. when things got really loud though, he got pretty scared and spent most of the hour and a half show, in my lap. he really seemed to like much of the show, he was smiling most of the time, and not really saying too much. think he was a little overwhelmed by it all. by the time it was over, he was getting a little antsy and ready to go...as were mom and dad!
