overdue post

Jaymes was a month old on 1/17, so this is little bit late....

Jaymes is doing well at 1 month...she has already caught and survived her first cold (think she caught it from Kai).....she was at Cook's Children's Hospital ER last week late one night (long story, but basically she was running a fever and bc she is so young, they told us to take her straight to the ER).......among other things she had to have a spinal tap (which was BAD), but all in all she was fine....

not sure how much she weighs, she does not have another doc appt until she 8 weeks old.....at the ER they said she was "9 something"??? As long is she is growing (which she def is) I am not too concerned about her weight

Jaymes can smile, and occasionally she will...but she is much more serious than her brother was at this age...I remember Kai around 6 weeks being a very jovial, smiley baby....Jaymes, not so much, she is all business.....feed me, or put me to sleep is her philosophy

Jaymes still sleeps really well at night, she goes down about 9:30 and will wake up around 3-4 AM, eats and goes right back to sleep....I think that's pretty good for a 6 week old baby?

Brother Kai is still loving his sister very much..he loves to run into her room in the morning when she wakes up and talk to her....Jaymes always smiles in the morning when her brother

greets her.

We are the throws of potty training Mr Kai, all in all, not going so well....I will leave it at that

profile comparison

the top pic is of Kai at around 3-4 weeks old, bottom pic is Jaymes at 1 month old....their profiles look pretty similar to me...they both have VERY full cheeks and big eyes! I am not sure how much Jaymes weighs right now, but I know she is no where near as big as kai was at 1 month (he was over 10 lbs)....I think Jaymes is near the 8.5-9 lb mark and still does not fit in a lot of her newborn size clothes....

Some recent pics of miss jaymes renee...so far she has been a great baby..she does not cry much at all (really only when she is hungry) and has been sleeping pretty good...she had a great night last night. We put her to bed at 9:30, she slept til about 1:15, woke up to eat, and I put her back down around 2:15......she went right to sleep and I had to wake her up at 7:15 to eat again....so me getting up only once during the night is very very nice!!
