long day for baby kai

We had lots of stuff planned for Halloween this year. We started at Tam's company for their carnival, then onto Crossroads Church for the HUGH carnival they have. The Crossroads Carnival consisted of a petting zoo, lots of bounce houses and too many other activities to list. Kai was running around like crazy in his typical fashion the whole time, nose running with snot the whole time!!! I think he had a good time, and after 10 min in the car on the way home, he was asleep....Kai never sleeps on in the car, so I guess he wore himself out! I dont have pics of Kenrie but she was an adorable butterfly, Joss was Mickey Mouse and Jude was Batman....all very cute.

busy weekend

we had a busy weekend, sorry i am just now getting around to posting. friday we babysat cousin kenrie...she was a sweetheart. kai and baby kenrie took a bath together....kai was pretty much his normal wild self and splashed water all over kenrie..i am sure she was annoyed! if not now, soon she will soon be irritated by her boys cousins and all their debauchery.

Saturday we went to a Halloween Block Party in a neighborhood of some pals of ours. Kenrie and Kai got to wear their Halloween costumes. Kai played in the bounce house for a while, but all in all he was tired that night and basically had a breakdown resulting in us only staying for a while.

Sunday we went to a friend's house and rode one of their ponies and also saw their week old donkey.....kai loves animals so he really had fun doing that!

signs of Fall

are everywhere....yet no fall weather here in DFW. This is one thing I hate about living in Texas, we have no seasons.....winter and summer and that's it. I want FALL, cool weather and a break from the oppressive heat. I want to be able to take kai to the park without his facing being bright red from heat and humidity (in OCT)! Here's some pics of Kai looking for pumpkins and also at one of KiKi's games. Kai loved picking out pumpkins, but loved the ballons at Calloways even more.

identity crisis

now as i have mentioned before, tam and i like to do stuff to kai and then point and laugh at him...ie, dressing him up, doing crazy stuff to his hair, etc..this should explain the ponytail. this is one of tam's favorite things to do...put his hair in a ponytail and call him Steven Seagal. Now I, on the other hand, think this is a sign that his hair is entirely too long. but i dare mention the words "haircut" and I get the death stare from Tam. so no hair cut in the near future....
